Reconnect is the Youth (12-24) component for the San Francisco County
Asian
American Recovery Services agency. We
provide confidential substance abuse
prevention and treatment services for all
Youth regardless of Ethnic and/or Cultural backgrounds. We
also have experience and success working
with Transitional Age Youth emerging
from Juvenile Justice System, and/or the SFUSD. This also
includes “Newcomer” populations who have or are in the
process of “Dropping-Out” of school. Project Reconnect services are
comprehensive, innovative
culturally sensitive, aware and respectful.
They are designed to promote the well being of the individual, their
families and the diverse communities of origin and those they navigate
through.
Our services are delivered on site as
well as on many of the
San Francisco Unified School District Campuses. Services
include: educational interactive and interpersonal drug
and alcohol workshops, individual / group counseling, and educational
presentations at community based organizations and within the high
school and
middle school systems. Our clients also participate in alternative
social and
recreational activities.
