The County of Santa Clara Social Services Agency in collaborative with the Department of Alcohol and Drug Services and Mental Health have developed a working collaborative to design comprehensive, wrap around services to CalWORKs participants for whom mental health, alcohol, or drug issues may prevent a barrier to achieving and retaining gainful employment.

AARS is part of a collaboration with lead agency Gardner Family Care Corporation and Community Solutions. The Community Health Alliance Teams (CHAT) are integrated multi-disciplinary service teams. The CHATs are comprised of culturally competent, professional and paraprofessional staff with experience in providing outreach, education, and treatment services for both mental health and alcohol and other drugs. Services are provided at educational and Social Services Agency sites, in the home, and in employment settings when appropriate.
